We had a couple of very big launches this past month you might have heard about — Fleetsmith Intelligence and iOS/tvOS support — but there were a lot of smaller releases too. We want to be sure these are on our users' radar so you can continue to get the most out Fleetsmith.

Here’s an overview of what we were up to this month:

iCloud restrictions for iOS

iCloud syncing is great… until there’s a mixup and sensitive data gets uploaded to someone’s unsecured private iCloud account. Now Fleetsmith can help you prevent this on iOS devices by setting restrictions on iCloud. This is similar to the restrictions we already offer on Mac and is available for both partially and fully-managed devices.

Google Hangouts Chat

Google Hangouts Chat is the enterprise version of the popular consumer chat software, providing chat and video conferencing features for companies that use G Suite. We now support it in Fleetsmith, so you can deploy its standalone app to your devices and enforce updates.

Chrome Remote Desktop

Chrome Remote Desktop is an way to do screen sharing and remote access through Chrome. Now you can securely deploy the component that enables users to host a Remote Session. One caveat, however, is that this feature is currently available to G Suite users only—it does not yet work for users who are authenticated through Office 365.

As usual, if you have any questions or comments about these new additions, feel free to drop us a line at support@fleetsmithhq.com.
